GPU Transcoding issue with M2000 on Ubuntu Plex Server (v1.32.4.7195)

Server Version#: 1.32.4.7195-7c8f9d3b6
Nvidia Driver Version#: 530.41.03
OS: Ubuntu Desktop 22.04.2 LTS
CPU: i7-4770
GPU: Quadro M2000
Player Version#: Latest (1.71.1.3888-b32ecaf8)
Plex Pass: Yes

Upgrading from Version 1.32.3.7192 to 1.32.4.7195-7 seems to stop my Quadro M2000 from doing GPU Transcoding including information about OS/Nvidia Driver etc.

This affected all my devices when I try to lower the bitrate to force it to transcode items.(Android phone/Ubuntu Desktop/Windows 10)

Currently my solution was to revert back to 1.32.3.7192 until this is resolved.

Below is some information:-

ERROR - [Req#441/Transcode] [FFMPEG] - Failed to initialise VAAPI connection: -1 (unknown libva error)
WARN - [Req#1bfd/Transcode/feec47443b44a21d-com-plexapp-android] Transcode runner appears to have died.
DEBUG - [Req#21/Transcode] Codecs: hardware transcoding: opening hw device failed - probably not supported by this system, error: I/O error
DEBUG - [Req#21/Transcode] Could not create hardware context for h264_vaapi

There is a lot of other debug messages but looking at them these two seems important.

Can anyone comment if they get the same hardware GPU transcoding issue?

(Most likely if no response I might wait till the next Plex update or re-attempt the upgrade again)

There is no way to diagnose the issue given a 4 line snippet.

Please include the full Debug Logs ZIP file which captures the start of playback.

There are multiple issues apparently happening.

  1. i7-4770 is QSV capable.
  2. Nvidia Drivers version being used.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

All solved just had to disable the intel integrated graphic card as it must have been switching between Intel QSV & Nvidia card.

I have also upgraded to the latest plex server without issues too so def that was the issue
