We talked it over in the bug forum (as it was erroneously thought to be a bug with plex) and realized the solution to a problem we have would be a growl plugin.

The post that describes it is at [http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?s=&amp…ost&p=32188](http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=3100&view=findpost&p=32188)

Basically we need a plugin for growl that re routes the notifications to the plex notification system.

I’d be happy to do the honors if it weren’t for that pesky issue of not know objC.

Is there anyone here that could do that? I think it would be fairly simple.

And even better, would be to have the plugin install for growl when plex is installed, provided that growl is also installed.

i think it should be right the opposite. I would like plex to use growl notifications. Growl has more level of customization (type, time, position, etc) while plex notifications havent.

Did you follow the link and read the discussion? There is a reason we’re asking for this.

It’s because, in order to fix a problem with another application, we have to make plex absolutely on top. Which in turn doesn’t allow growl to appear.

Hey, just to let you know I’ve created a Growl plugin that does just this: [http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?/topic/12664-my-growl-plugin/page\_\_view\_\_findpost\_\_p\_\_75334](http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?/topic/12664-my-growl-plugin/page __view__ findpost __p__ 75334)

Enjoy!
