# "Hardcoded" metadata not scanned

1. Use [Plex recommended naming](https://support.plex.tv/articles/categories/your-media/), especially with TV shows.

2. Server Settings → Agents. Move `Local Media Assets` to the bottom of the list everywhere it appears.

3. Scan the library, wait for it to finish, then refresh the metadata for the library (see pic below).

If you changed the file name, you may need to [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) the movie/show/etc.
