Here is the story: Recently I bought a Fire TV, and my main use for it would be Plex. but I happen to use the photo libraries a lot, and the Fire TV app has this nasty bug that it will freeze after some time when showing the pictures. (I’ve already [reported it on the Fire TV boards](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-app-freezing-and-crashing-firetv-hd-stick/935988))

This pretty much soured me with streaming sticks or set-top-boxes (the projector I’m using the fire stick with can download plex, but it doesn’t have enough memory to actually run it). So I’m thinking of a solution: Getting something like a mini-pc and install the plex media player, have it run on startup, always full screen and use it exclusively for plex.

Notice that I’m not looking for a server. I’m fine with my current setup, even if not ideal. I’m looking to create a “Plex Machine“ to act as a client. Like if we had a PlexStick/PlexCast.

which type of machine should I be looking at (doesn’t need necessarily to be a mini-pc)?
