# Hardware transcoding issue

Server Version#: 1.30.1.6562  
Player Version#: Web client and last IOS client  
Server info: VM installed with Almalinux 8.7, graphic card is a NVIDIA P2000 card that is passthrough from ESX host.

Hi,

Don’t know if it has anything to do with latest update or not but those last weeks, I have the feeling my hardware transcoding is making more and more problems. Was working smoothly a month before.

The errors I have, have been seen for a while now but since yesterday, some videos I could flawlessly read before can not being played, toping my server’s CPU.

From the console, I can also notice that the “hw” tag is not present anymore, meaning the server tries to transcode with the CPU, despite seing a job in the nvidia-smi dashboard.

Any clue where I could start troubleshooting? Thanks in advance 🙂
