This card was working fine, but I upgraded to a newer PC (DELL Optiplex) and now when I scan for channels, it takes 5 secs and No Channels Found… I then installed WinTV and tested it, and it finds and plays all channels with no problem. I uninstalled WinTV, and still cannot find any channels with Plex Scan. I am running Windows 10.
did you install windows drivers after uninstalling WinTV?

Now that kind of dumb thing to ask went just said he install WinTV which automatic install the drivers any way as they haven’t change in a few year more then like some else is going on.
Same problem here with the quadHD. Seems to be an issue with all of the WinTV cards.

Not here and I even have dualHD and a quadHD ATSC which has running under with Windows 10 Fall Creators 2017 update
Yeah, the only thing that has changed really, is the motherboard. Same Windows 10, Same harddrive. It worked great on my older AMD processor/motherboard, but now on my DELL Intel i5 motherboard it doesn’t work (but does with WinTV) I even completely reinstalled Windows, and Plex was the first app I installed and it sees the tuner but wont scan any channels.
And yes, the latest drives from Hauppauge are installed.
Sound like Plex software issues to me
I also have the same issue with WinTVSolo. Detects the tuner but in the scan it doesn’t find any channels.
Thank you for all the comments (even though there’s no solution)
I agree that this is a PLEX issue, so hopefully they will work on a solution.
I just tried my WinTV-HVR-2250 card on another Dell Optiplex 790. A fresh install of Windows 7 SP1 installed. latest Hauppauge Driver installed. Same results, See’s the PCI card fine, but Scan says No Channels found after 5 seconds. I then ran Windows Media Player setup, and it found 73 stations no problem.
Attached is the log file after Scan and No Channels found:
Well hope lee I get my HVR-2250 back from hauppauge fix
I was also getting tons of channels, but in Plex it said “no channels found”. Looks like my problem was the player that came with my tuner (AVerMedia AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q) was pointed at the tuner and not allowing Plex access. So I uninstalled everything involving the tuner EXCEPT the driver. BUT, I still had to figure out that I needed to completely shut down the Plex server to even get it to recognize the tuner in the first place. So 2 problems here that would have been nice if Plex gave me a TIP as I was encountering the problems. took 2 hours to figure out. Just a friendly tip saying to shut down the server and ensure nothing is using the tuner would be nice. Just saying “no channels found” is about as unhelpful as a sack of rocks.
You do that AVerMedia software is well know for this and as rule you should have uninstall all of it TV and player software in first place.
Currently I have a pretty clean install of Windows 7, as shown in this pic
having this same problem with the HVR-2250 on plex dvr no channels found…
I should have my HVR-2250 ATSC model back from Hauppauge now that it fix this Tuesday so I should be able to check see if Plex is working with mine.
Just update now that it fix’s No problem here with my HVR-2250 ATSC it pick up the channel just fine and even work just fine as far I can tell
Same problem here with WinTV-DualHD usb tuner. I reside in Europe…
