How are the files named? They must [follow the Plex norm](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220687-Naming-Series-Season-Based-TV-Shows "follow the Plex norm"). If they don’t, this is what you get.

Which language have you set in the properties of your tv show library?

Are they in mp4/m4v format?
If they are, they could contain internal metadata which can potentially throw off Plex’s scanners.
To avoid trouble in the future with these, go to Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Then [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/908454/#Comment_908454 "Plex Dance") all the episodes which “broke out” of the main series poster (Or simply all of them).

Your screenshot shows only the season folders, not the files in them (which is the crucial information).

It doesn’t matter that they are all named in the same patttern, as long as it is not the _right_ pattern.

How it looks in your library doesn’t help here.

I need the actual file names of the single episode video files, please.
Show me at least a few from one of the seasons.

“Family Guy” is slightly wrong, “3rd Rock from the Sun” is completely wrong.

```auto
/TV Shows
   /Family Guy
      /Season 01
         Family Guy - s01e01 - Death has a shadow.avi
         Family Guy - s01e02 - I never met the dead man.avi
         ...
   /3rd Rock From The Sun
      /Season 01
         3rd Rock From The Sun - s01e01 - Brains and Eggs.avi
         3rd Rock From The Sun - s01e02 - Post Nasal Dick.avi
         ...
```

1. Look up your show on [TheTVDB](http://thetvdb.com/ "TheTVDB")
2. Take the title as it is used on TheTVDB. If there is something in parentheses, take that too. If the title contains invalid characters (depends on your file system), like `§ : % *`, simply leave them out.
3. Check the [naming and the folder structure](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220687-Naming-Series-Season-Based-TV-Shows "naming and the folder structure") of your show. Name the top folder of the show exactly after the title on TheTVDB. No abbreviations. No additional subfolders. No aliases.
4. Name the episode files according to the above linked naming guide. Use the same title as for the top folder. `Show's Title - s01e01 - additional info.ext` (’- additional info’ can be left out)
5. After you corrected the naming and folder structure, perform the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/908454/#Comment_908454 "Plex Dance") with all files for this show.

Changing file names for a whole tv show is made easy and fast with software like [Filebot](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/191687/plex-naming-schemes-for-filebot "Filebot")

Please follow the instructions. Rename your files as per the Plex norm.
Perform the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/908454/#Comment_908454 "Plex Dance") when done.
It will clear things up.

There was something wrong because I deleted all folders from “%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server” and did the Plex installation from the scratch and now there is no problems anymore
