I want to start using PLEX DVR and am not sure which HDHomerun I should purchase. Does the cheaper connect model work well streaming OTA 108i TV? I plan on using Ethernet and have a decent laptop (AMD A8 CPU) to use as a PLEX server.

If they are both hardwired gigabit it won’t matter which you choose. It really comes down to the format you would prefer to keep on the laptop. The Extend can do hardware transcoding so the files are smaller and take less room on your hard drive. They also stream easier to other clients.
