# HEVC Playback on iOS - Still Broken

How can it be, that a feature that worked perfectly, can become broken and stay broken for so long?  
Running Plex Media Server 1.11.0.4666, I can playback HEVC content on iPhone X with no issue at all. The movie starts within 4 seconds and plays back perfectly. Doesn’t miss a beat. Just PERFECT!

Every Plex Media Server update thereafter, including the one released yesterday, and the feature is broken, stuffed, non functional. I play a movie, it thinks about it for a while, then an error pops up on the phone saying playback error. Every movie, consistent, not working any more. I roll back the install back to 1.11.0.4666, and there you go, working perfectly again, doesn’t miss a beat.

So what is going on? Am I missing something here?
