First off I love the Cloud Sync, it's definitely in it's early stages and needs to workout a lot of bugs but once it matures it will be an impressive feature!!!

But I still think you should allow a "High Availability" option where you can link 2 different Plex Media Servers to sync and then if you happen to be watching a show on the primary server as it goes down or loses connectivity then the redundant server can pick up where it left off! It would also be pretty cool if the Cloud Sync file also had the ability to pick up if you lost the connection to the server! I wouldn't expect it to be completely seamless, but hopefully at least less than a minute to make the switch, & maybe it could pop up a quick message explaining that the server has gone down & it is making the transition to one of the redundant files (whether server B or Cloud Sync).

Just as anything else that starts out in Beta, it could be a relatively simple Beta that gains reliability & features as the Plex community plays around & tests it!

High Availability Sync + Cloud Sync would make an unbeatable & extremely reliable media streaming solution!

There's gotta be others out there who would love High Availability features! So if you like this idea make it known & put some comments below!

Thanks!

Nice idea...I have two PMS's in two different locations, both capable of the upload bandwidth to support some sort of HA....however I would think that I am a little uncommon of a setup...but what could be common, when CloudSync is out of Beta, would be the ability to Sync to two different providers...now that would be cool...HA via two different cloud providers...I can see a lot of people would fit in to this category...

Good ideas though....and not something I'd considered before....until now...want it...when? Hurry up Plex team ^\_^

> I did a search and so far haven’t seen this one. I have a friend who lives in Africa and she doesn’t have enough BW to stream from my server but her boy friend set up a Plex server on an old laptop and they can afford Plex Pass. Could we enable shared libraries to be synced from server to server? There would have to be some sort of sanity to the sync, maybe a throttle mechanic or/and a time period where it can go crazy and use all the BW and then throttle back down when people would be awake. …
