# HLS Streaming

Does Rasplex currently support encrypted HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) content? I'm trying to use [this](http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/27030-rel-nfl-network/) Plex channel on my Pi with Rasplex and it fails to play. Reading the developer FAQ, it looks as though the lack of encrypted HLS support is causing the issue.
Is this something that could be supported in the near future?

This applies for RasPlex too (because we use PlexHT too). Thus we need to wait for a stable XBMC 13 release (which is currently still in alpha).
If I were you, I would just ask for back-porting this feature into the current PlexHT builds at the PlexPass forums…

If they were to include the HLS into PlexHT soon, would that likely make it to Rasplex in a future build?

1. RasPlex does support HLS streams.
2. We pull our PlexHT version from the Plex repo. Thus it would be more or less easy to pull new stuff into RasPlex if it’s there.
