# How about a standalone Tagging App from Plex?

I am tired of tagging with multitudes of applications for music and audiobooks.  
I wish the developers of plex would develop an application that solves a lot of woes. I envisage the following:

Let’s call it : **UNIVERSAL PLEX MEDIA TAGGER/MANAGER**

**Functions** : Scraping, Tagging, Renaming and maybe scripting functions for Movies, Serials, Music in General, Classical Music and Audiobooks.  
**Levels Of Complexity or Pre-sets** : Simple, Advanced, etc. based on how much information and details the user wants to retrieve.  
**Type of Organization for Media files** : General, Plex Friendly, Custom etc.

**EXTRA FUNCTIONS (if possible):****PMS API calls** to check and compare with existing media in the library. This would be useful to avoid duplicates.

Maybe in the future, developers can set and finalize a **standard** on how and what kind pf tags needs to be in and the whole world should follow one standard.
