4K Videos freeze up when I try to stream from Plex on my Mac Mini.

You configure and connect a client that can handle the file being sent natively, ie Direct Play, thus circumventing the need to transcode. An alternative is to check the current client you own and reencode the media file being sent to a format it desires, thus circumventing the need for your Mac to transcode it on-the-fly.
