I’m trying to clean up my server with the correct genre’s, and a few have picked up data for the wrong movie, but won’t let me edit the tag or delete the wrong info, even when I click on the lock to unlock the info. Workaround?
The Plex Dance is supposed to clean all info out of the Plex database.
(except the ‘played’/‘unplayed’ status)
As a precautionary measure, check your Plex database for damage:
- activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
- quit Plex Server
- wait 1 minute
- start Plex Server
- wait 5 minutes
- fetch log files and attach them here
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
