Server Version#: 1.28.2.6106
Player Version#: Web

OK in an effort to change my PW, I removed my local plex server on my Synology NAS. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add it back.

Plex server app, and all my media, are still on my Synology. I just removed the server from the Authorized Devices list… How do I re-add it? Nothing I do is working. ☹

the guide on how to reset your account password linked in the e-mail / [forum announcement](https://forums.plex.tv/t/important-notice-of-a-potential-data-breach-24th-of-august-2022/806518) also covered that.

If you signed out the server from your account, you need to reclaim it.
To reclaim your server, you need to access it locally – that means using the Syno’s local IP address from within the same subnet… not using the [hosted web app](https://app.plex.tv/) or some directconnect URL from Synology:

1. browse to http://[Syno local IP]:32400/web
2. go to `Settings` \> `[Server Name]` \> `General`
3. click the `Sign-In` button at the center of that settings page (next to the “this server is unclaimed” message)

#

If you don’t see the server specific settings… review if you’re really on the same subnet as your NAS. With a few exceptions that means the 1st 3 segments of the local IP of your Syno are the same as those of the device from which you’re trying to access it (e.g `192.168.0.x`).

#

If you’re on the same subnet and still cannot see the server settings, there might be some disconnect between the stored account information and your account – in which case you could attempt the “hard reset” procedure described in this guide:

> FAQ 22 - Hard reset server credentials. DSM 7 - Uninstall with the “Keep” option Install the same version package again, – Plex Claim Token method – Click “Get Plex Claim token” – Browser will open and show claim-xxxx token – COPY the token to browser (do not waste time. Token expires in 5 minutes) – Return to installer window – PASTE into token window on installer form – Click NEXT & DONE and continue…
