I don’t have an option for watch live tv. It says “just select “Live TV” from the source menu and start surfing.” Where is the source menu?
I would like to know how to as well. I see no live TV option.

I’m on server version 1.20.0.3125 and in the web client.
On the left nav, click “More >”, then scroll down to the “Plex” section and I see “Live TV” which you could pin to your nav.

Possibly it’s not (yet) available in the way you’re accessing Plex, or it’s buried in a spot you’re not looking.
According to the blog at https://www.plex.tv/blog/the-one-where-plex-announces-free-streaming-live-tv/, with emphasis mine:
"…open up Plex on your phone, smart TV, laptop, or tablet and start streaming. Updates are rolling out throughout the day for Apple TV, iOS devices, Roku, Amazon Fire, Android mobile, Android TV, and web desktop, with updates for smart TVs and gaming consoles coming shortly.
I am seeing it on app.plex.tv (web desktop) now, here is where to go (extending a bit on Stephen’s instructions above, thanks Stephen!):
- On the left-side menu, scroll to the very bottom and click “MORE >”
- Scroll down, down, down though any servers you run or that are shared with you, until you find “PLEX”
- You should see “Live TV” available
For your convenience, to make things easier going forward:
- Hover over “Live TV” and a three-dot “kebab” menu should appear on the right. Click that and click the “Pin” option that appears, and you’ll no longer need to click “MORE >” to get to it.
- Return to the main menu by scrolling to the top and clicking “< PINNED”
- Hover over any item in the list to reveal the kebab menu, click it, and chose “Reorder”
- Now you can reorder all your pinned items, and put your “Live TV (On Plex)” item whereever you like.

you need to use the web app at https://app.plex.tv which is v4.38.2. the one that comes with server is not updated to it yet.

https://app.plex.tv/ did the trick for me to enable it. I also found on any of firestick with all options pinned, the “more” option was not available. After I unlined one option, then I could see “more”.
I see it in mine, just none of it works. Click play on any channel get “Playback Error - there was an unexpected error…”
If you access your plex on your local network, it will not be available. However, if you access your plex via the plex.tv URL you will be able to access it.
Make sure you have it enabled in your Online Media Sources. I’ve been streaming the 80s party list. Music Videos for the win!!!
Ok found it! Showed up after an app update.

I never saw this at all when it 1st launched. And today , I still dont have it. It looks like Plex never activated it for all accounts. My account has no Live TV option to enable that there information page says. Only live tv is for my DVR service.
I have “Live TV & DVR” (been running DVR for a while now) in my menu. I don’t see “Live TV (by Plex)”. I’m running server Version 1.20.0.3125 and Web App 4.38.2.
I don’t see the new content anywhere.
Do I need to just be patient?

Thanks for the screenshots, but I’m still not seeing anything new:
“Live TV & DVR” just shows my OTA channels.
Do you see the live TV option in https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources Can you take a screenshot of the options you do see.
Any idea when the win server will be updated to enable this please?
Sorry, I do not have an ETA when the server will come with a compatible version of the Web app.
Thanks anyway - guess can watch it on web app in meantime and on android app anyway. 
wierd i can get it on my roku and iphone but not on apple tv or ipad
