# How to detect intros

How do I set up Plex to detect intros at 3:00 AM and stop detecting them immediately afterward? I know that if I have a lot of TV shows, it won’t be possible to finish the task between 3:00 and 5:00 AM. Will it continue the job the next day from where it left off the previous day?

I have enabled “Generate video markers as scheduled tasks,” but I don’t see anything related to this in the Plex Scheduled Tasks section. I will also post an image from my Plex Scheduled Tasks. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

There are three parts to configuring intro detection:

- Setting the trigger action in `Settings -> Library -> Generate intro video markers` (as you’ve done already by setting it to ‘as a scheduled task’).
- Setting the start and stop times for when scheduled tasks are run in `Settings -> Scheduled Tasks`.
- Enabling intro detection in the advanced settings for each TV shows library for which you’d like intros to be detected:

With those configured, intro detection will be performed during the specified times.
