Would you mind elaborating what exact option is disabled and how you do access your server outside your home network?

If you have `Settings` \> `[Server Name]` \> `Remote Access` disabled, that should mean nobody outside your home network can access your server (exceptions might apply if you don’t have a router of your own or one that’s configured in bridge-mode – similarly VPNs can mess up what’s considered local vs. remote).

What movie (e.g. a movie hosted on your personal PMS within your home network vs. content from Plex Online Media Sources or another streaming service linked in Discover)?
What particular Plex app are you using? Any VPN or other setup otherwise exposing your home network?

Do you run any kind of VPN software on your phone that connects you automatically into your home network?

@playbox127

Stream something from your server remotely (phone on mobile network, etc.).

Monitor the stream via [Plex Dashboard](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200871837-status-and-dashboard/#toc-1) → Now Playing + Expanded View.

Is the connection Local, Remote, or Indirect?

If indirect, it is using [Plex Relay](https://support.plex.tv/articles/216766168-accessing-a-server-through-relay/), a fallback for when remote access is not available. The stream is tunneled through a server at Plex and is limited to 1 Mbps (2 Mbps w/ Plex Pass). You can disable [Plex Relay](https://support.plex.tv/articles/216766168-accessing-a-server-through-relay/) in [Settings](https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/web/general) → Network.

If the connection is Local or Remote, then something else is going on.
