How to eliminate "offline" duplicate servers

Server Version QTS 5.2.9.3451
Player Version#: 4.147.1

My Plex Media Server was suffering form a ‘memory leak’. I asked the forum, a Plex person requested logs, etc., which I supplied, then crickets. The ticket was closed.

So I decided to remove the Server and re-install. It went fine, but now I have multiple not quite identical servers, only 1 of them work. Unfortunately, all my clients are hosed.

How can I remove the two ‘offline’ servers?

Steps to Remove Duplicate Servers

  • Authorized Devices (Primary Method):

    1. Open the Plex Web App.

    2. Go to Settings (wrench icon) > Authorized Devices.

    3. Click the X button next to any server entries that are no longer in use or appear as duplicates.

  • Clean Up Client Apps:

    1. On iOS/Android/TV apps, sign out of your account.

    2. Sign back in to refresh the server list.

    3. If an old server still appears, find it in the sidebar, long-press (or select) it, and choose “Remove” or “Unpin”.

  • Clean Up Library/Trash:

    1. If the duplicate is in your library, go to settings for that library and choose Manage Library > Empty Trash.
  • Optimize Database:

    1. Go to Settings > Manage > Troubleshooting.

    2. Click Optimize Database to remove lingering data from removed servers.

That did it, thanks! Took a while to clean-up all my clients, but no drama.

There’s a reason my username is DummBunn… DUH!

Thanks again.
