# How to reduce tuning time

Server Version#:1.19.1.2701  
Player Version#:7.31  
Hi I would like to know how I could reduce the tuning time of the live tv on my Shield tv.

Actually it take between 5 to 10 seconds to tune any channels. I recently received a promo email from Plex telling that they have reduced the tuning time to a third of what it was, but for me it looks to be way longer than what is used to be.
