It looks like Plex on my Apple TV has updated to version 7.20. The new Live TV guide is in no way usable. Is there any way to revert back? What’s going on with Live TV?
I’ve taken a lot of time to filter out all the channels I don’t watch and had a specific order for the 35 or so channels I do watch. This new guide is like a TV guide, it completely ignores all my preferences, and presents and interface that (for me) makes the service entirely unusable. I also noticed that the Loop music channels which I watched often are now missing.
This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. Where’s the update that goes over all the recent changes?
I’m sorry there is no way I know of to revert to an older version. All release notes for our Apple TV client can be found in the Announcements category here
You can Favorite the channels you do watch by pressing on the channel logo at the start of the guide rows
Thank you. Add to Favorites isn’t bad and nearly usable. Although, you can’t organize these favorites and there’s still a ton of channels missing. Of the 30+ channels I watch, only 15 of them are present. Are these channels coming back?
How does platform syncing work? My favorites in the web player are different than those in the Apple TV player. I thought they were in sync before.
The extent of the change log is “Redesigned Live TV Guide.” Is there any published reason why this was changed and what the road map is for this feature? This is a dramatic change to the user experience and it’s given all of a 4 word description. I don’t recall receiving any warning that such a change was to be implemented.
