I have selected intro detection to be ‘as a scheduled task’ in my media server settings but how do I select the time for this task to happen?
Be aware this is a very intensive task and depending on the amount of content you have and how powerful the hardware your plex server is on it can take hours to weeks to fully complete.
For me with close to 400 shows & 16,000 episodes it took the nightly task 8 days to fully finish. My server is also pretty powerful.

I do that stuff when I add things - to get it over with. At the rate I add things holding for maintenance would mean I’d need another 4 hours of maintenance, and there just aren’t enough hours in a day to get it all in…lol
Indeed, I recently (within the last year) decided to rebuild my server so this task is fresh in my mind as it needed to detect intro for everything. Server is very busy when doing this work and it takes time.
