I have more than one source for LiveTV/DVR on my Plex Server.
One is an HDHOMERUN with a TV antenna and the other is LoCast.org (online streaming local channels) integrated into plex as a tuner.
Therefore I have 2 EPG’s, similar but some differences.
When I go into Plex and select Guide, I see the guide of local channels but can’t tell which guide is from which source. If I click record on any program from the guide, I can’t tell which source Plex is using.
It makes a difference because the streaming service is different from local antenna so if Plex is showing a ‘combined’ EPG for all sources, I can’t tell which source is being selected for a recording. This matters because say for instance the weather is bad and antenna signal is not good… then I need to force the recording source to be from the streaming tuner. If Plex selects the source for me, I may get a bad recording due to antenna signal weather issues.
If this feature doesn’t exist, it should be considered. Some say to see the EPG per source device or when selecting record, be able to select which source to record from.
