How to turn on de-interlacing in Plex for Windows

Server Version#: 1.18.8.2527-740d4c206
Player Version#: 1.6.3.1009-57cf57c8

How do I enable de-interlacing in Plex for Windows? Playback works fine, but all content recorded from 1080i channels (using Plex-DVR) shows interlacing lines. Plex Media Player (3.0 preview version) has a checkbox for “deinterlace” in the video settings, and with this checked all content plays fine. I can’t find a similar setting in Plex for Windows, so the Plex-DVR content recorded at 1080i is unwatchable.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

Plex Media Player is here:

It has ‘de-interlace’.

3.0 has ‘de-interlace’.

Use the players that have ‘de-interlace’ and don’t use the player that doesn’t.

This issue was reported months ago. If they really want everyone to move to Plex for Windows, fixing deinterlacing would be a good idea.

Plex for Windows is like PMP Lite.

Pretty soon we’ll have to have both of them when Desktop mode goes away so you’d better get used to using both of them now… it’ll soften the blow.

Are you suggesting they are going to remove Desktop mode before they fix deinterlacing in Plex for Windows?

I’m suggesting Plex is going to do what Plex does.
They want to remove desktop view from PMP.
I suggest you be prepared for it in whatever way you can.

Thanks all for your replies. I was also under the impression that PMP would go away, so I was shocked that a basic feature like deinterlacing isn’t supported.

Anyways, I will keep using PMP for now.
