So would your plugin work for hls streams that use cookie authentication? I’m currently looking for a solution to get some streams working on my roku, and using plex seems like the simplest way. ---

Sure seems like given that workaround solution, that Plex can fix this simply with a media server update, and not even need to update the App… I hope this happens soon. ---

FWIW, pretty much the same line for transcoding HLS is in the Android profile xml file. So it seems a fix in the apps would be more appropriate. ---

Dear Plex, this issue isn’t going to just go away on it’s own… please finally address this! This should’ve been fixed long before new features like lyrics… ---
