# Hw acceleration on pi 4

I have plex pass and cannot get hw acceleration options to show up in settings / transcode .
raspi 4 os lite.

In general, Plex Media Server does not support hardware-accelerated transcoding on ARM-based devices (there are a couple of exceptions, notably Apple Silicon-based Macs). So, what you’re seeing is expected.
There’s a feature suggestion to add this support for capable Raspberry Pi devices; I’ll see if I can track down the link.
