I set everything up but can’t get remote access to turn on. I’m seeing directions that state:
“For automatic configuration, make sure your router supports the “UPnP” or “NAT-PMP” feature.”
I have a Spectrum modem and can’t access it. Apparently, they make it a “locked box” so users can’t change anything. Am I screwed??
If your ISP has both
- disabled UPnP / NAT-PMP on their routers
- made it impossible to create ‘port forwardings’ manually
you are not able to access your Plex server remotely, except per Relay connection.
If I were in your situation, I’d ask your ISP abouzt the possibility of ‘port forwardings’. Sometimes ISPs have an additional offer for that or create it remotely for you.
