In Library view, it would be helpful to sort by Genre. There’s already by Title, by Content Rating, etc. This will help with a browsing aspect where an undecided viewer can see all movies from the library, but the grouping by genre will help them roll into different decisions. Start out wanting an Action movie, but scrolling through Action didn’t catch interest, scrolling through Comedy doesn’t catch interest, but something in Sci-Fi does . The key is to continue scrolling through, instead of going back to the filter sorter. Save some clicks and key entry, just continue scrolling. This could be implemented one of two ways: 1. Similar to the alphabet letters that show up on the right hand side, the right hand side could be replaced with the genres, so as not to exclude all other genres from the view when you select a particular genre. 2. The 3rd drop-down sort selector could add ‘by Genre’ and you can see the whole library, yet grouped by genres. ---

With PMS 1.28.1, you’re now able to access your movies and shows by genres in a new/separate pivot (tab). I consider this will be a more suitable approach to improve the accessibility of genres (given sorting alone will do you little good).
