Are you referring to the 9.13 version released a couple of days ago:?

Looking at the [changelog](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-for-android/29115/454) it doesn’t seem to mention anything related to it.

Just like you, I am waiting for an Android TV updated version that enables client-side hardware playback.
