I would like to vote on continuous play, the option to play a series of clips without reaching for the remote. I could see, while using iOS, looking at my tv on deck, playing the first episode, and then we would get a dialogue at the end of the video…maybe in the last thirty seconds (so it would be during the credits) and say “Would you like to play the next episode of the series? Would you like to see the next On Deck video?” Along those lines. Or just make it simple and make it just play the next video automatically. This could be really helpful, too, for those that use Plex channels a lot. If we want to watch a series of clips in a selected channel, this would be so much easier, rather than reaching for my iPad every two minutes.

Please vote properly, I’m noticing way too many users not vote properly in other threads.

I think this is an awesome idea, but unfortunately, I think you did a poor job of expressing it. If you agree, could you please update your post so that people can get a better idea of what this feature would mean?

Netflix implemented this new feature a while back, and it is killer. Here is the blog post describing the new feature: [http://blog.netflix.com/2012/08/new-post-play-experience-makes-it-easy.html](http://blog.netflix.com/2012/08/new-post-play-experience-makes-it-easy.html)

Towards the end of an episode, an overlay pops up on the screen giving you notice of the next episode on deck:

How is my post not clear, I practically spelled out what the feature is? :P But yes, the Netflix comparison helps.

Very much agree, when watching smaller 30 minute episode shows this would be EXTREMELY nice!

It's a jerky experience now to have the show end back on the episode page \> back out of the episode \> select the new episode i want (usually after having to scroll to get to it) \> finally clicking play again to start the next episode.

i think this could work two ways:

1. as you describe, within a show’s list (what about season jumping?),

2. playlisting. so, say i have a video playlist, “thursday night shows” (that i watch on saturday) it could feed from one to the next to the next…

+1. or 2.

Please for the android client, it is really not amusing if my daughter complains about the end of an episode if im driving on the autobahn (of course she is in the back, im in front... waterloo).

It would be extremely easy to implement an auto play next episode feature for series. No need for anything complex like playlists etc just yet, but this would be a quick fix for all the daddies and mommies in the world. Please pretty please??

The PMC windows client can do that now, just hit P key at the show or season level and it will play continuously, I use it for my kids all the time.

Yes I know. I use it all the time on my PHT windows client too. I even have the settings set up such that it randomizes the order in which episodes are played. But this doesn't work on iOS. Nor does it work on PlexConnect (the client for ATVs that are not jail broken). So I think it should be a PMS feature that solves it for all clients, not a PMC or PHT feature.

Also, the GoogleTV client does not do this, presumably because it is the Android client that is also used for phones & tablets. I realize it is not quite as useful for phones & tablets, but for GTV it is just as useful as for PMC & PHT.

The Android client now has a much better interface to use with GTV, so I hope this is a feature that is coming soon.

I voted.

Just want to point out that this feature would be higher priority to me than playlist support if choosing between the two! Could be a much slicker user-friendly way of handling things.

+1 for what is usually considered a standard feature with media players in general, and an age old request on the forums. I shall never stop +1ing for continuous playback!!!!!

Also, it needs to be for wherever in a series that you begin, not just if you want to watch a season from start to finish :)

How hard is it to simply put a nice little "repeat" button just to have automatic playback. Every media player in existence has a Repeat button to replay those short videos automatically. Why cant i find that with plex? This is frustrating the living daylight out of me. Can somebody tell me if I'm missing something here.

You are not missing it; that feature doesn't exist currently.
