Would be a good idea if we could change individual Playlists cover art or have a little more control over the playlist info. ---

I don’t know why this doesn’t get more love. With more than 2500 music albums on my Plex server, Plex has become my only source of streaming music. At home, in the car, at work. I don’t have the time to go searching for a few albums that I want to listen to on the go, so “playlists” have become my daily driver. I get in the car. open up playlist and I have around 20 of them. All the thumbnails of the playlist all look the same. Just 4 random album covers grouped into a single thumbnail that does absolutely nothing for me. It would be so much better to be able to click on a recognized image/thumbnail/custom cover art, to begin playing my playlist just like Spotify does. Hitting the pencil icon under a playlist brings up the edit dialogue that allows me to edit the title of the playlist, and description . I love the example picture you provided, it really helps prove the point on why we need this feature. I too have many playlist and would love to be able to make them looks as sleek and original as they do in this picture. ---

This would be killer for me. I’m kind of a playlist hoarder, but I love to easily choose between them all, and adding a cover to each one would help a lot. ---

I’d love this also. Just got all my itunes playlists setup with artwork and would love if plex either pulled in that information from the playlist import or if we could set it in the edit window for the playlist. ---

WHY was this not implemented alongside custom art for collections?! I’m trying SO hard not to bail on months of transitioning over from Kodi but COME ON! I can’t add playlist artwork? It appears this would be such a SIMPLE thing to implement as it’s already been setup for collections. Why do collections have an option in the UI to write an upload poster value to “user\_thumb\_url” but not playlists? What am I missing? This is such a disappointment. Collections are not a replacement for playlists when it comes to music! Plexamp has so much potential but I’m too UI driven of a person to be ok with 4 random, constantly changing cover images visually representing various playlists. It’s been three years since this was mentioned. Unless I’m missing some element, it doesn’t appear to represent any significant changes in the SQLite table structure, rather just a couple simple lines of code to be copy and pasted, from the collections tab on the web UI to the playlists tab. Unless someone can weigh in on why this “feature” being added is more complex then it appears, I’m going to assume it’s not, and head on back to Kodi where we at least have access to make changes ourselves/perhaps try emby. I may try manually inserting values into the database tables to try to hack my way into a solution here before I go. If I do, and it works I’ll report back to everyone else who voted into the abyss of customer dissatisfaction as well. At the very least, and basic explanation of the challenges holding this back would be appreciated… ---

I agree to the above, this should really be a no brainer and an easy implementation. Love to see this, as the mockup which was posted here perfectly illustrates why we need it. ---

I really hope this feature gets added. Not only would it make rummaging through playlists easier, but it also adds a touch of personalization to one’s personal music collection. I also make playlists on Spotify, so it’d be rewarding to see my playlist art in Plex as well! ---

+1 This is something I thought was standard. But place that amongst “easy playlist sharing” and “setting your own recommended lists, and share them” as things that just about every other Media Player Service has.
