As part of the [official announcement/release for Plex HTPC](https://www.plex.tv/blog/way-to-be-htpc/), Plex have also officially announced their Plex Desktop app for Linux. Both apps are linked on the official download page (available via Snap Store).
Therefore considering this suggestion to be implemented.
