# Improve trailer search.. i.e use youtube

Not everything has a trailer on IMDB etc so please dear god can you build in some minor code to widen the search to youtube trailers or other sources?
This is particularly a problem for arthouse type films or say films that are british tv only.
An example is this: [Lost Lives (2019) - IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10466232/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1)
and a very simple search on youtube of the ‘title (year) & trailer’ yields the correct result…

Its also annoying as I pay for plexpass so please lets fix this simple thing.

While watching trailers on Youtube and other sources is ok for you in a private/personal setting – Plex cannot simply use them in a commercial context. They’ve to license those trailers for that purpose. Apparently their source doesn’t have “all trailers” (or at least not the ones you’re looking for).
That being said – Plex have started to close suggestions to request integration of content/service providers and other potential partner systems… both for full-fledged content providers as well as extras such as trailers (see [Please Read: Before submitting a feature Suggestion](https://forums.plex.tv/t/please-read-before-submitting-a-feature-suggestion/273976#requesting-integration-of-contentservice-providers-and-other-potential-partner-systems-5))

All I want is better trailers… Plex has a licensing deal with [https://www.fabricdata.com](https://www.fabricdata.com) and pay them to supply sub standard video content. The quality of most trailers is less than 540p. And lots of trailers do not show up where as for example someone like apple has access to the high quality trailers. Youtube was just an example of where other sources exist.
As a test if I look for the film Border (2018) the trailer is shown on apple’s store but nothing loads on Plex for trailer so this is an example of the sub par licensed data source Plex are paying for.
