If I’m selecting album art for an older album, it’s hard to tell which images will be high-res and which images will be blurry / low res. I find myself making a change, then playing the song in Plexamp, which is time consuming when many albums need their artwork updated. There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to display additional quality/resolution information in the poster selection. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
