# Inquiry on File naming issue

[Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) the episodes after renaming. This removes incorrect matching information from the Plex database.

Regarding embedded metadata:

If using the `Plex TV Series` agent/scanner:  
Note: This setting affects the entire TV Show library.

1. [Edit the library](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200289266-editing-libraries/)
2. Choose Advanced.
3. Deselect `Prefer local metadata`.
4. Save changes.
5. Refresh the metadata for the library if Plex does not do so automatically.

If you are using one of the legacy agents/scanners:  
Note: This affects all libraries using the legacy agents/scanners.

1. [Settings](https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/web/general) → Agents → Shows
2. In all three sections, drag `Local Media Assets (TV)` to the bottom of the list (or deselect it).
3. Refresh the metadata for the library.
