# Integration SmartHome systems

Hello all,

&nbsp;

I am thinking about integration of SmartHome systems. For example openHAB ([http://www.openhab.org](http://www.openhab.org)) seems to be a valid candidate with a rich REST interface.&nbsp;

But I understand that the Plex APIs are based on streams (audio, video).&nbsp;

&nbsp;

So my question is: &nbsp;is there a chance I integrate other resources (in this case I want to provide own UI-Widget with switches, sliders and similar stuff you need to control your devices)?

In the &nbsp;developer docs I don't find anything.

&nbsp;
