# Internet Necessary?

Server Version#: 1.19.4.2935  
Player Version#:

I recently had an Internet outage and my Plex server, that war running on my Mac, said it couldn’t run without it. Even though all media was on local drive.

Is there a way around that?

I personally installed Jellyfin as a backup to cover a internet outage.
