Is it possible to get a list of movies, tv shows, music, home videos that plex thinks is unavailable

Is it possible to get a list of movies, tv shows, music, home videos that plex thinks is unavailable? I lost a NAS and the backup is out of date. I would like to get a list of what plex thinks is missing so I can try to replace them.

This thread has info on tools to do that.

Try installing WebTools and then ExportTools.

You will find WebTools here: http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/126254/rel-webtools/p1

ExportTools will output a list in csv or xlxs format that contains every bit of data you could ever need … lol

Or simply use “Find Unmatched” then you do not have to wade through all the useless stuff that you get from WebTools.

I have found that “Find Unmatched” works well and provided exactly what I need in the very rare case that my naming does not work correctly.

Find Unmatched is deprecated though. WebTools includes Find missing.

“Deprecated” has never bothered me as long as it works.
But I do have a difficulty with my current setup using the Shield as my server in that I cannot install any tool sets as they do not appear in the “regular” channels that are available and you cannot manually install channels. But, in the last three years, I have only found two movies that were totally unmatched to the point they did not show up in the listings so I guess I can live without the tools. (I do live next door to one though.)

Thank you to all who answered. I used both the web tools and find unmatched. It worked for the TV show library, unfortunately Plex did what I had told it to in the movies library and removed the missing movies. I forgot I had that set, but that was on me I should have checked the settings after recovery. Now off to rebuild what was lost, as well as look for a tape backup for the NAS units.
