Is it possible to include subtitles in iOS in downloaded media?

Hi,

I’ve download a few films on my iOS device from my local server. But it seems the subtitles I downloaded were not included. Does downloaded media for iOS supports using the subtitles too? or is it supported only when streamed from the server?
