I have a lot of photos, and have them all in a single Photo library. Right now I have just short of 50,000 photos there, totally in size almost 500 GB. I’ve noticed Plex is not behaving well lately with my library. There are two main problems. My wife and I both use Plex on our Android phones to auto-upload photos, and it seems like this functionality has been almost useless lately. I just checked and the last photo uploaded appears to be on 02/05/18 and today is 2/15/18. We have taken dozens of photos on our phones since the 5th. I am having to constantly get on our phones and disable and re-enable camera upload. Sometimes that doesn’t work and I have to fully uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to start uploading again.
The other major issue is that sometimes when I try to access my Photo library in my web browser, is spins for a while then gives me an error. Usually rebooting my FreeNAS server on which it is running resolves this issue for a while.
Does anyone else have similar problems with a very large photo library? I was hoping to use Plex for many years but at the rate we take photos (last year we took over 12k), I’m concerned it just won’t keep up.
