I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to play video through my Plex app on my Xbox One but mute the video so I can stream Spotify in the background (also through the Xbox One app). Basically, I want to have a video on the TV but with no sound while I listen to music. I used to accomplish by casting video through Windows directly to the Xbox One and then muting the audio within the volume controls of Xbox Video but I haven’t been able to figure out if this is possible… there don’t seem to be any in-app volume controls available?
Theres only a way to boost volume from small to huge in a menu but that doesn’t seem to work.

You are correct in that there are no specific controls for audio in the Plex App. The app uses the system wide audio settings so the only controls are specific to the overall system.
It used to be possible to use the snap mode to use the system mixer to separate audio between two apps, but I have not seen any alternative since Microsoft removed the snap mode.
