# Large Library Endless Metadata?

So I have a very large collection via a Google Drive through RClone mounts. When I add the folders to a brand new library. It seems like the server scans the files for a day or two, then the little scanning icon on the server goes away. But it seems like it is still downloading meta data. In the alerts I see a ton of lines about finished processing yyy, etc.
The issue is that it never seems to end. And eventually the server goes into this odd state where I can’t get into the general settings page, library settings, etc. I can see the dashboard and the alerts. The dashboard responds, slowly, but reasons. And the finished processing in the alerts just goes on and on and on.
I’m afraid to restart the server for fear I may have to refresh all meta data. Or be missing meta data. I really can’t tell how much left it has to go or anything about it’s status.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
