Server Version#: Synology 2.4.2-12341 Player Version#: 1.33.0.2444-a220eae4 Hi. I have been trying to play my recorded Law & Order shows for a while, and finally I’m writing about it. Plex ALWAYS plays the wrong file, even when it knows the right file. Specifically, I am trying to play “SERVER\_ROOT/TV Shows/Law & Order/Season 05/Law & Order - s05e13 - Rage.mp4” for example (it doesn’t matter which episode I play) but it ALWAYS plays what it calls “Episode 06-02,” from 6/2/22 (filename “/volume1/media/Plex/TV Shows/Law & Order/Law & Order - 2022-06-02.mp4”). When I get info on s05e13, it shows the correct file path. Any idea what I’m doing wrong here and how to get Plex to play the correct files? This only happens with Law & Order. I’m wondering if it’s the “&” in the filename. Server is a Synology, if that matters. ---

Well, after I posted this, I thought "gee, what happens if I delete "/volume1/media/Plex/TV Shows/Law & Order/Law & Order - 2022-06-02.mp4” – I did that, and now Plex plays the correct episode file, at least for Rage. I assume that one file was messing everything up. ---

Yeah, I don’t understand why it caused everything “Law & Order”-related to fail, but removing that seems to have fixed the show, so maybe my wife & I can watch tonight. Thanks. ---

Episodes can use date based or s01e01 notation but I would try to stay away from using both for the same show ---
