Hello,

We are looking at using Plex at our business and want to have each user sign in to access the content. Is it possible to have users authenticate with their LDAP account with Plex?

I doubt it but wait and see. In terms of Plex features plex home is about the closest to what you’re looking at however this is a pin and not password. Alternatively all users would need to sign up to plex and you manually add them on the plex server.

No LDAP or any other type of network login support is currently available and I don’t see this on the horizon either as it would probably need substantial changes to the various code spaces to support such a feature. Each user would essentially have to create their own account and have a unique email address associated with their account which could be a business domain email address.

When ever someone is let go or hired you would have to delete and or add an account for them with Plex. How workable this is would depend on the size of the business.

Just saying, I don’t need any of your premium features but if LDAP is ever ship, I’ll get the full license right away
