I am trying to add personal home videos to my plex server. I created a new library of “Other Videos” and selected the folder with the videos. After scanning the folder for files, the library shows as empty. Most of the files are mp4. I see some references about “Agents” but any changes I make do not seem to make a difference. Any suggestions to resolve this? Thanks ---

Unfortunately none of those apply to my files. Thanks for your quick response. Do you think agents has anything to do with the issue? I have separate folders for Movies and TV, for which I have been able to successfully add content. It just does not seem to work for Other Videos. Please let me know if you have other solutions to consider. ---

It seems to have the same permissions as the movies and tv folders. ---

The question isn’t if it has the same permissions (e.g. assigned to your personal DSM account), but if the folder and files in question are available to `Plex` (DSM 6) or `PlexMediaServer` (DSM 7). 😉 ---

Thanks for your help. I had to add system access to the folder for the plex server. It is working now. Thanks again. ---
