# Limit Account

I am sharing my SERVER with a friend, he shared his PLEX account and sometimes other people are using the same account at the same time playing video. Is there anyway to banned those device, and dont allow to get in again?

You can limit your friends to 1 stream if you wish.
Settings \> Server \> Network \> Remote Streams Allowed Per User

But talking to the friend is the easier option in this case as well. Make him understand the issues it can cause you

Thanks, I tried but does not work, I limited to one connection and does not work the limitation

The limitation will work, it will limit the friend to one stream for his user account - what are you seeing that suggest it isnt working? screenshot?

Were there 2 streams before you changed the setting?
If you hover over each one you get the option to stop the stream, do that for both and see if both start again.

You also appear to have one of the streams “La Juventud” running in a tab in your own browser?
I dont _think_ this setting works if you log into the account on your own network, as per the comment “when not on the local network”

I tried again, I stop the streams, I set again the limit and restart PLEX.
But limitation does not apply
Also, I am not doing with my SERVER ACCOUNT

So the tab entitled “La Juventud” in your browser, is signed in as Yarissa? if so this doesnt matter, the “Remote Streams per User” only applies when the internet is involved, if youve signed in as yarissa on your LOCAL NETWORK then the limitation is not applied

I’ve just tested this with a friend of mine, she has tried to play 2 streams at her house and gets told “not enough streaming slots” i think the reason you are able to see 2 playing is that one of these “La Juventud” is on your LOCAL NETWORK and the other is at the persons house which is REMOTE

@Renfris I still feel that having the discussion with your friend is the best bet, rather than crippling his own access to one device - explain that you share with him, not his friends!
