# Link devices from mobile app

Hi, it would be useful to have in the Plex mobile app (I use the Android one) the ability to link new devices, instead of going to [https://plex.tv/link](https://plex.tv/link).
As a bit of background, I got the idea because of this issue of mine:

The rationale is that normally apps are always logged on, but websites needs authentication (for cybersecurity hygiene, browsers are often set to clean cache / not save credentials).
This way the device linking would be faster and handy.

There’s already an existing thread/post asking for such a feature. It appears the OP didn’t vote for their own suggestion (neither did you 😉 ).
Please help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes and comment/vote in that other thread. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
