After about an hour of streaming live TV on my Sony A8H device, the video starts buffering very badly. According to the admin dashboard, the bandwidth in use increases dramatically. Since it’s over the air, the video is in MPEG2 format @ 720p. It normally uses 11mbps up to 15 mpbs. But when it’s buffering, the bandwidth in use is between 75 mbps to 90 mbps. What is causing the sudden spike in bandwidth usage?
In the attached graphic, you can see where the stream was buffering. I then stopped the video, waited a few seconds, and then replayed. The bandwidth levels returned to normal. If I let it run for another hour, it’ll start buffering again. Anybody else with this experience?
