Here is a link to a 5min video recorded from ITVHD that causes issues from the getgo with a 4k fire tv stick. (the screen starts green and freezes soon after)
Nvidia (cube) starts off ok but eventually has stuttering strobe like playback like its skipping frames.
Channel 4 HD played quite happily today for 1hr30mins on 4k fire stick using transcode live tv interlaced video -

Hit it again and it tuned
Just a thought, this transcode interlaced needs to be extended to the recorded ‘dvr’ .ts files too. not sure if that would be possible or do we need to force transcode ourselves in player settings. That latter is a nuicance for non savvy users
after a restart and re tune it recognised the new programme was i and transcoded it
