Works “great”… A lot of channels have the “julkaistaan pian”, aka no guide data, just allow us to use OTA for the EPG data, and we wouldn’t have this issue with Plex in those regions where it is published over the air and NO, I don’t want to use xml stupidness for it.
I’m really frustrated with the issue, previous provider did not have this issue.
I see that from 25th May Sony Movies, Sony Movies Classic, Sony Movies Action and the Sony Channel will be replaced with GREAT! movies, GREAT! movies classic, GREAT! movies action and GREAT! tv.
Is this something we need to report via the form?
I believe the channel numbers will stay the same, this is basically a rebranding. However, these movie channels are ones which have gaps in the middle of movies so I wondered if the name change might impact he handling of this in Plex.
This. I had to rebuild my server recently, and i went in today to add my custom EPG and couldn’t find it. Was beating myself up trying to find it. What gives Plex? Are you guys removing it for good or was this a mistake?
I understand that this is a bug, and that the workaround until this is fixed is to enter a country which isn’t supported by the Plex EPG and this will then give you an option to use XMLTV.
If it is still possible to use the 00000 zip code when no tuner is configured, it is since Plex Web 4.57.4, impossible to use this trick to add an additional Plex EPG when you already use an XMLTV file. You get the following error message:
Unsupported location
This location isn’t covered by Plex DVR guide data. Because you already set up a tuner using Plex DVR guide data, we are unable to offer the option to use a XMLTV guide. Please select a different location.
It is now impossible to have a configuration where you mix XMLTV and plex EPG. And that’s a pity because the Plex EPG is nice but doesn’t cover all my channels and it’s impossible to get them without an XHTML complement.
FYI: for Brits wanting to record “Anne Boleyn” on C5 next Tue at 21:00, Gracenote shows this as “to be announced”. This is a Gracenote issue as SchedulesDirect is the same.
I have reported this to SchedulesDirect as they always:
Same issue, Belgium 3000 or whatever zip code/line-up in BE i tried, always results in an empty guide.
Not exactly the update i’ve been waiting for. Before the switch there was at least usable data for most of the channels. Well done Plex
What lineup are you selecting ? I just tried Telenet Digitale and I do see a problem where no schedules are being returned. I will follow this up - but please confirm if it is this lineup
Well, since the big overhaul a couple of months ago I saw that not all listings were there. Some channels had none while others had not all of them. But this happened at the time when one of the Belgian channels changed name (2BE became VTM2 and such) and knowing that Gracenote is a bit slow on the uptake (I work at a company that provides data to Gracenote) I didn’t really worry. And we hardly watch any live TV anyway.
But then since a few days (at least since 1.23.1-4528) I saw that I have no listings at all
